Clay Animation
Clay animation is a form of stop motion animation. You make a story boards, build your set, design your characters with a character sheet, and then build your characters around a wire frame. We use a malleable substance, modeling clay, to build our characters. We then take a series of pictures with minute movements between each picture. Next you add music and show the pictures in series between 20 and 30 frames per second.

I like this project because it is different from the usual 2 dimensional projects. We learned about animation from its early history to use in modern films. Even with modern technology, story boards are still used for movies. This project also allows us to gain skills in many areas: drawing, sculpting, photography, etc. This project wasn't as messy as others, which made me happy.
