I started this project by drawing the picture I wanted to recreate with en caustic. After I did that I covered a piece of MDF with clear wax. I drew my picture onto it and then started adding color. After that I added rings of color all around the picture, giving it a throwback look. I finally cut the shape out after I added all of my colors.

Using an en caustic was a pleasing experience. You had to work quickly because of how soon it hardened. But even if you made a mistake you could remove some of it to fix it. If I was to do more of a landscape scene then the textures this creates would have been very useful. Plus it was just fun to melt the crayons. Who wouldn't want to do that, right?
