We started this project by choosing something we wanted to remember. We then created spheres, or in my case and egg, by creating half spheres. We molded clay onto the spheres to create our subjects. We then made holes in the clay to allow air to escape from inside before we fired them the first time. After that we glazed them and put them in the kiln the final time.

I chose the Dodo bird because, even though it was a silly creature and everyone makes fun of it, I still wish that we could have had the chance to see it. I created an egg shape and made patterns to put on the egg. I then made the dodo bird head and made a feather pattern for it. The Dodo bird coming out of the egg represents the possibility of bring the Dodo bird back with new technology such as cloning and genetic modification. I then put the sculpture into a nest to represent how fragile this would be, as this technology is debated heatedly and we cannot let it get out of control or misuse it.
